The role collaborates with families, classroom teachers, school teams, district personnel, and community partners.
It supports curriculum access, self-advocacy, graduation goals, and transitions through evidence-based instructional practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and targeted interventions for learning challenges
- Deliver literacy, numeracy, executive functioning, and learning strategies
- Develop and monitor Individual Education Plans and Learning Plans
- Conduct educational assessments and inform instructional planning
- Coordinate transitions to post-secondary education, employment, and adult services
Requirements
- Written and oral fluency in French
- Valid British Columbia Teaching Certificate
- Degree or diploma in inclusive or special education
- Assessment and intervention training or experience
- Secondary teaching experience and BC curriculum understanding
