School Counselling Administrative Assistant in Fernie

Support school counselling administration through student records, accounting, and confidential communication in a 30-hour weekly schedule during student sessions.

Under principal or vice principal direction, this temporary administrative assistant performs organizational, accounting, and secretarial functions through June 25, 2027. The position supports counselling-area operations, student safety programs, records, reporting, purchasing, and correspondence. Success requires discretion, strong organization, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain student records and generate school, District, and Ministry reports
• Implement the student safety Call Back Program
• Prepare routine and confidential correspondence from instructions
• Perform accounting, budgeting, purchasing, and supply tasks
• Record employee absences and distribute incoming mail

Requirements:

• Office Administration Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution
• Accounting Certificate or equivalent coursework
• Driver's License
• Two years of administrative assistant experience considered an asset
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
