This Education Assistant position provides school and student support across Strathcona, Seaside, and Gordon Elementary. You will implement individual programs, support social-emotional needs, and help students participate in classroom and community activities. The work includes collaboration with teams, families, and community agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide school and student support as assigned
- Implement individual programs under senior team direction
- Evaluate and maintain student progress records
- Support parent workshops, events, and community coordination
- Organize activities, outings, and student supervision
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12
- Recognized Education Assistant program or equivalent training and experience
- Experience supporting students with diverse abilities and disabilities
- Knowledge of behaviour management and educational psychology
- English communication skills and ability to provide personal care
