The Village at St. Clair seeks a Temporary Food Service Manager for its resident-centered community. You will lead a large unionized food services team, maintain department standards, and support quality hospitality services. The position includes food purchasing, financial planning, nutritional assessments, catering, scheduling, and payroll duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support food service team members
- Provide hands-on training, coaching, and leadership
- Maintain standards for Public Health and Ministry requirements
- Ensure diet and nutritional requirements are met
- Manage purchasing, schedules, payroll, and catering functions
Requirements:
- Experience in large-quantity food preparation and purchasing
- Experience leading large food services teams in unionized environments
- Knowledge of Ontario food and long-term care legislation
- Active Canadian Society of Nutrition Management membership
- Vulnerable Sector Check and tuberculosis screening before starting
