Schlegel Villages seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing Care for a six-month temporary assignment beginning November 2026. This on-site leadership role supports nursing teams through clinical guidance, quality assurance, trend analysis, and education. You will also contribute to resident-focused care and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support resident-centred social culture and clinical care quality
- Guide self-directed nursing and clinical team members
- Track trends and drive quality assurance initiatives
- Provide clinical leadership, training, and education
- Manage inventory and supplies for clinical teams
Requirements:
- Current Registered Practical Nurse registration with College of Nurses Ontario
- Current Heart Save Level of CPR certification
- Three years leading departments in healthcare settings
- Caring, respectful attitude toward residents, families, and teams
- Understanding of physical, mental, and emotional role demands
