Schlegel Villages seeks a Registered Practical Nurse for Long Term Care at its Village of Taunton Mills. This temporary part-time position works 30 hours bi-weekly on a rotating four-days-in-two-weeks schedule, including every other weekend. Responsibilities include safe medication and treatment administration, care-plan updates, resident advocacy, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Follow care plans and report resident well-being changes
- Update care plans with physician directions
- Advocate for residents during care decisions and transfers
- Support resident-centered personal care and move-ins
Requirements:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Existing Heart Save Level of CPR
- Proficient communication and computer skills
- Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check and TB screening
- Understanding of Long-Term Care legislation and regulations
