Automation Technician - Afternoon Shift in Barrie

Wearelookingfor anAutomationTechnicianto support theinstallation,maintenance, andoptimizationofautomatedmanufacturingequipmentandcontrolsystems on the afternoon shift from 2:00pm-10:00pm. Thishands-onroleinvolvesworkingwithrobotics, PLCs,sensors, andelectro-mechanicalmachinerytoensurereliableproductionperformance. Thesuccessfulcandidatewilltroubleshootequipmentissues, performpreventivemaintenanceandrepairs,assistwithautomationprojectsandsystemupgrades, andcollaboratewithengineering,maintenance, andproductionteamstoimproveefficiency,reducedowntime, and supportcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.

Availability: This position is open and accepting applications

Shift: Monday- Friday | 2:00pm-10:00pm. The position we are hiring is for the afternoon shift, although the first few weeks of training will take place from 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Education & ProfessionalExperience

Required

• Post-secondaryeducationinProcess/Manufacturing/MechanicalEngineeringorequivalent

• Musthave5+yearsdirectexperienceinrelatedfieldwithtechnicalexperiencein theoptimizationandoperationofautomationequipment

• Hands on experience with Automation systems/equipment, PLC’s/HMI, robotscontrols andassociated programming software
