This Registered Nurse position serves adult patients facing life-threatening conditions in the Intensive Care Unit. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team while applying nursing standards, the Nursing Process, and critical interventions. The unit includes 14 critical care beds and four stepdown beds, supporting severe acute medical conditions and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers caring for critically ill patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Provide health teaching to patients and families
- Support corrective actions promoting patient and staff safety
- Follow occupational health and safety requirements
Requirements:
- Ontario certificate of competency as a Registered Nurse
- Critical care nursing certificate meeting Ontario standards
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
- Recent Intensive Care Unit experience
- Level 3 patient management and intravenous therapy competency
