Install and repair telecommunications equipment for SaskTel customers in Canora, Saskatchewan, using testing, troubleshooting, and safe work practices on-site. This permanent full-time position serves residential, rural, and business locations.
As a Field Services Technician, you will install, maintain, test, repair, and remove voice, broadband, and television equipment. The work includes fibre, copper, coaxial, and outside plant facilities. You will investigate service problems, coordinate customer releases, and provide training when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, maintain, repair, and remove communication equipment
- Splice, ground, terminate, and maintain fibre and copper cables
- Investigate customer reports and locate service problems
- Analyze plans, specifications, schematics, and related drawings
- Operate hydraulic and heavy equipment as required
Requirements:
- Relevant technical diploma, certificate, or Grade 12 pathway
- Working knowledge of voice, broadband, data, or outside plant systems
- General knowledge of software applications and customer experience techniques
- Good communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to work independently
