Ice maintenance and building systems expertise define this full-time temporary Coliseum Operator position at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon.
Working under the Operations Duty Manager, the Coliseum Operator handles ice maintenance, building maintenance, and event change-over procedures. The position requires routine systems operation, equipment use, preventive maintenance, and client service. It also includes directing Event Attendant activities and completing repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain ice surfaces
- Operate and maintain refrigeration, plumbing, ventilation, and lighting systems
- Complete seating, dasher board, glass, stage, and ice deck change-overs
- Operate forklifts, tractors, ice-resurfacers, and floor scrubbers
- Supervise Event Attendant activities during assigned events
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education
- One year of related building maintenance experience
- Six months of supervisory experience
- Valid Refrigeration Plant Operator's and Fireman's Certificates
- Forklift certification and Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's licence
