Overview Of The Role
Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Millwright for an existing opportunity within our organization. You'll discover a stimulating atmosphere that fosters your professional growth in a clean and safe environment. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Friday to Sunday and every 4th Thursday. 6:30pm-6:30am.
Salary: $47.96/hour. Evening, night and weekend premiums available. Hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays are compensated at one and a half (1.5) times the regular hourly rate.

How you will make contributions that matter:
- Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations
- Carries out equipment installations and modifications as required
- Repairs parts in shop
- Works effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety
- Follows company policies and safety standards
- Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
- Millwright licence
- Proven experience with process equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Food industry or high-speed packaging experience
- Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Welding experience is an asset
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Boiler, refrigeration and air handling systems experience is an asset
- Electrical experience is an asset
- PLC training and experience is an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- High level of self-motivation and initiative
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Dependable with a good attendance and safety record in current position
- Available to work afternoon and night shifts, weekends and overtime as required
- Available to switch shifts at short notice to replace absent workers
