Support senior residents overnight as a Medication Aide with QMAP certification at Sanford Health. Provide medication assistance and daily living care during 12-hour shifts.
This Resident Assistant, Medication Aide position serves residents in assisted living, long-term, and post-acute care. The work includes medication administration, vital signs, personal care, infection prevention, and meal support. Scheduled hours total 36 weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with medication self-administration and trained medication administration
- Support bathing, toileting, dressing, transfers, repositioning, and walking
- Obtain vital signs and report changes in resident health status
- Follow OSHA, CDC, aseptic cleaning, and SDS guidelines
- Prepare meals, launder linens, and clean resident areas
Requirements:
- QMAP certification is required for this department
- Complete assigned medication administration training and competencies
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- High School Diploma or GED may be state-required
- Meet state age requirements where resident lifts are used
