This Automation Technician/Red Seal Electrician maintains mining automation equipment and components according to defined specifications. The position commissions new automation equipment, completes customer-site training, and supports field service needs. Responsibilities include root cause analysis, preventive repairs, reporting, safety procedures, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and service mining automation equipment and components
- Commission automation products through inspections and operational testing
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve standard customer problems
- Complete maintenance reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Coach customer technicians on servicing and maintenance principles
Requirements:
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Electrician license
- Three years related mining equipment experience considered an asset
- Read electrical schematics and troubleshoot mining equipment issues
- Hold a valid driver's license and travel across Western Canada
- Work varied shifts and remain legally eligible in Canada
