The Assistant Housekeeping Manager oversees daily Housekeeping Department operations in a hotel environment. This role supervises housekeeping employees, supports recruiting and retention, and maintains guest service standards. Responsibilities include inspections, labour efficiency, supplies, linen inventories, scheduling, training, and policy compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day Housekeeping Department operations
- Supervise employees and inspect guest rooms and public areas
- Schedule Room Attendants, cleaners, and Laundry staff
- Monitor labour efficiencies and departmental costs
- Order supplies and conduct monthly linen inventories
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of housekeeping experience
- Minimum two years of direct hotel supervision
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of computers, health and safety, and laundry operations
- Flexible evening, weekend, and on-call availability
