The Business Process Architect provides horizontal process architecture leadership across Sage’s GTM transformation, establishing the methodology, standards, and quality standards that process practitioners across workstreams design against. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring the transformation builds one coherent global GTM operating model rather than a set of independently designed parts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the most complex cross-motion process architecture challenges, identifying when processes or capabilities being designed within one workstream should be designed for reuse across multiple motions.
Set and protect cross-motion process consistency and global standards, helping determine where standardization is appropriate versus where intentional regional or business variation is warranted.
Establish and evolve the process architecture methodology, standards, and quality practices used across the transformation, including embedding impact assessment into how workstreams run discovery and design.
Provide functional leadership, coaching, and quality oversight to Process Architects working across transformation workstreams.
Connect designs across motions, identifying overlaps, gaps, conflicts, and dependencies early, and ensuring the overall GTM operating model remains coherent.
Lead senior cross-functional design discussions and ensure process architecture recommendations brought to the Design Authority are clear, high-quality, and decision-ready.
Partner closely with colleagues across GTM-Effectiveness, Rev Ops, Sales, IT and other functions.
Reporting & Key Partnerships
Reports to: Program Director, Global Model Office (GMO)
Key partnerships: Process Architects, Process Owners/GPOs, Product Managers/Product Owners, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Change & Adoption Leads, Program/Project Managers, the GTM Design Authority, IT, GTM-E Rev Tech, Rev Ops, Sales, and other business functions.
Qualifications Must-have
Significant experience leading business process architecture and future-state operating-model design within complex enterprise transformations.
Strong systems thinking and demonstrated ability to connect processes and capabilities across organizational or functional boundaries.
Strong knowledge of GTM/commercial processes and credibility with senior business stakeholders.
Proven ability to facilitate complex cross-functional design decisions and influence without formal authority.
Experience establishing process architecture methods, standards, and quality practices, and guiding other process/transformation practitioners; people leadership experience is desirable.
Ability to lead through ambiguity and communicate complex concepts clearly to senior audiences.
Preferred
Experience operating within or alongside a formal Design Authority or similar governance model.
Relevant revenue-technology ecosystem experience (Salesforce, Zuora, CPQ, or similar).
Process/architecture certifications (BPM, Lean Six Sigma).
