Lead AI product engineering at Safe Fleet, applying machine learning and computer vision across production-ready fleet safety solutions. Safe Fleet seeks a highly technical, hands-on Engineering Manager to build AI-powered features and shared platforms. You will guide architecture, coding, prototyping, and delivery while partnering with Product Management and engineering teams. The work includes LLMs, RAG, AI agents, workflow orchestration, and traditional machine learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead scalable AI feature and platform architecture, development, and delivery
- Apply generative AI, deep learning, and computer vision
- Establish secure, reliable, scalable, cost-efficient AI architecture patterns
- Adopt AI-Native Engineering and Agentic SDLC practices
- Mentor four to eight engineers and coordinate cross-functional collaboration
Requirements:
- Eight-plus years of software engineering experience
- Three-plus years leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Two-plus years developing production AI applications or features
- Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, Claude, or equivalents
- Experience with scalable cloud solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP
