SA Service Agricole du Bas-Saint-Laurent is looking for a sales representative to join his team in Mont-Joli!
As a sales representative, you will play a key role in expanding our customer base and growing our business. You will assist agricultural producers in selecting machinery and equipment tailored to their needs, while representing well-known brands such as Massey Ferguson and Fendt.
Your main tasks will be to :
- Develop and maintain trusting relationships with existing customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand your sales territory.
- Meet with farmers to gain a thorough understanding of their needs.
- Advise customers on selecting tractors and farm equipment suited to their operations.
- Ensure thorough follow-up with customers throughout the sales process.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate, and close sales.
- Work with the various departments at the branch to provide quality service.
- Meet the established sales targets.
- Travel regularly throughout the region to meet with clients and develop new business relationships.
You ideally have :
- A Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in a relevant field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience, ideally in sales.
- Knowledge of the agricultural sector, agricultural machinery, and equipment (a plus).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- An ability to build connections and develop new business relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Autonomy, initiative, and a results-oriented approach.
- Proficiency with computer tools.
- Excellent teamwork.
- A passion for working on the road and being close to your customers.
