Support Oracle Database Appliance environments for Ontario's COMPASS ATMS, using Oracle 19C, WebLogic, virtual machines, and Cloud Control expertise. This is an on-demand, part-time assignment.
The Senior Specialized IT Consultant maintains production, backup, and development Oracle environments supporting COMPASS operations. The work includes ODA X9-2HA and X9-2L, Oracle Real Application Clusters, Oracle Data Guard, Fusion Middleware, Linux JEOS, and VM provisioning. The consultant collaborates closely with the client and meets frequently as tasks require.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upgrade Oracle Cloud Control infrastructure
- Update and reconfigure ODA infrastructure
- Relocate, restore, and create virtual machines
- Install patches across ODA and WebLogic environments
- Manage ODA incidents and hardware repairs with Oracle
Requirements:
- Experience with ODA X9-2HA and X9-2L
- Oracle 19C and two-node RAC experience
- Oracle Data Guard and standby architecture expertise
- Oracle WebLogic, Fusion Middleware, and Linux JEOS experience
- Required Oracle implementation and database certifications
