Obstetrics & Gynecology Resident On-Call Coverage - NYGH

This posting is intended to fill in for gaps in resident on-call coverage for the obstetrics and gynecology service at NYGH. The resident is responsible for rounding on antepartum/postpartum wards, responding to nursing queries about patient care on the wards, seeing inpatient consults from the wards, outpatient consults from the emergency department and participate in the management of patients on labour and delivery (including triage, and assisting in the operating room).
Supervision:
The resident is under the supervision of the physician on-call for all clinical duties performed while on shift and is expected to review all clinical patient care with the on-call physician.
Min Requirement:
PGY3-5 Obstetrics & Gynecology resident
Remuneration:
$1,000/12-hour shift

Call:
There is a resident on-call room on the same floor as Labour and Delivery which has a computer, shower/bathroom. The resident is also welcome to use the fridge/microwave in the nursing lounge. There is a Tim Hortons (open 24h) and Starbucks in the hospital.
