Lead laboratory quality and point-of-care testing at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario, supporting a permanent full-time healthcare team.
The M.L.T. Charge – Quality implements, maintains, and improves the quality management system and Hospital Point of Care Testing Program. This role supports laboratory services through quality assurance, quality control, audits, reporting, and corrective action planning. It also provides oversight, guidance, and leadership across laboratory activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, maintain, and improve the quality management system
- Coordinate quality control and external assessment for POCT devices
- Investigate non-conformances and develop corrective action plans
- Prepare audits, quality indicators, and regular management reports
- Provide oversight to Laboratory Technicians during daily operations
Requirements:
- Recognized Medical Laboratory Technologist program graduate
- Current general registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
- Point of Care Testing Specialist and Quality Management certificates
- Two years of Quality Management and POCT experience
- Knowledge of QMS, QA, QC, POCT, CLSI, and ACD requirements
