About the Role
Join Rockport Commercial Inc. as a Journeyman Concrete Carpenter to build and install formwork for foundations, walls, slabs, and columns. You will work from drawings to measure, cut, assemble, and strip forms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formwork Construction: Assemble and strip concrete formwork for various layouts.
- Structural Building: Build durable forms for footings, foundations, and structural elements.
- Precision Layouts: Interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate, level work.
- Pour Support & Safety: Use tools to support pours and maintain a safe, clean site.
- Collaboration: Work with supervisors and trades to keep projects on schedule.
- Mentor: Train and teach junior staff.
What You'll Need:
- Certification: Journeyperson Certificate / Red Seal preferred, or significant verified formwork experience.
- Skills: Expertise in concrete formwork, carpentry, and blueprint reading; flatwork finishing is an asset.
- Logistics: Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation.
