Join a leading fintech company that’s democratizing finance for all. Robinhood Markets was founded on a simple idea: that our financial markets should be accessible to all. With customers at the heart of our decisions, Robinhood and its subsidiaries and affiliates are lowering barriers and providing greater access to financial information. Together, we are building products and services that help create a financial system everyone can participate in.

The People Systems team empowers our global workforce by delivering innovative, secure, and scalable HR technology solutions that enhance efficiency. As a Staff Workday Advanced Comp Engineer, you will design, configure, and maintain complex compensation structures within Workday, ensuring accurate processing of employee pay. This role requires deep expertise in Workday’s advanced compensation module, including experience with various compensation plans, eligibility rules, and integrations.

What you’ll do:

  • Architect and implement Workday Advanced Compensation solutions: translate compensation models into robust Workday configurations, focusing on merit, bonus, and stock plans, ensuring scalability.
  • Drive the technical execution of annual compensation cycles: lead the end-to-end technical setup, data loading via EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders), validation, and reporting for critical annual compensation events, ensuring data integrity and system performance throughout the process.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver impactful solutions: partner with Compensation, People Ops, and CorpEng partners to gather requirements, provide strategic recommendations, and deliver innovative Workday solutions that optimize business results.
  • Ensure data integrity and system optimization: proactively identify process improvements, perform ongoing audits, and maintain thorough documentation to ensure the highest standards of data accuracy and system efficiency.
  • Integrate and streamline Workday: ensure seamless integration of Advanced Compensation with Core HCM, Benefits, and Workday Payroll, understanding interdependencies and optimizing data flow between modules.

What you bring:

  • Deep expertise in Workday Advanced Compensation: 8+ years of hands-on experience with configuration, compensation cycles, business processes, calculated fields, condition rules and security.
  • Proficiency with Workday integration tools: proven experience using EIBs for data uploads and integrations, and ideally exposure to Workday Extend and/or Workday Orchestrate for custom solution development and workflow automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions in a timely manner.
  • A collaborative and communicative approach: excel at working with cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts clearly, and influencing solutions across various business partners.
  • Workday Payroll: a strong plus – understanding and/or direct experience with Workday Payroll processes and configurations.

What we offer:

  • Market competitive and pay equity-focused compensation structure.
  • 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents.
  • Annual lifestyle wallet for personal wellness, learning and development, and more.
  • Lifetime maximum benefit for family forming and fertility benefits.
  • Dedicated mental health support for employees and eligible dependents.
  • Generous time away including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more.
  • Lively office environment with catered meals, fully stocked kitchens, and geo-specific commuter benefits.
