- Oversee the general ledger chart of accounts and accounting policies to maintain reliable financial data and consistent accounting practices across entities.
- Translate financial results, significant movements and accounting judgments into clear narratives that explain business implications and actions required for Finance leadership and business partners.

- Research and resolve complex accounting matters, prepare and review technical position papers, and assess the reporting implications of new transactions and changes in the business.
- Drive timely resolution of audit findings and management letter recommendations, assigning owners and following through on corrective actions.
Risk Assessment and Internal Controls
- Build RNF’s risk assessment framework with external consultants and business leaders, using growth plans, historical issues and changes in operations to identify key risks and prioritize areas of focus.
- Assess whether key controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively, and partner with business owners to address gaps and implement practical process improvements.
FX Strategy and Corporate Insurance
- Own and lead RNF’s existing rolling 24-month FX exposure and hedging process, coordinating timely forecast updates with business partners and recommending how much currency exposure to hedge and when, in line with business needs and approved risk limits.
- Coordinate approved hedge execution with banking partners and authorized signatories; monitor exposures and hedge outcomes, and oversee related accounting, reconciliations and reporting.
- Lead the annual corporate insurance renewal from planning and data collection through coverage placement, coordinating brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders to meet renewal deadlines.
- Evaluate coverage, limits, deductibles, exclusions and premiums against RNF’s evolving operations and exposures; present renewal recommendations and address coverage needs arising between renewals.
Team Leadership and Continuous Improvement
- Lead and support the accounting team, providing clear direction, coaching and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
- Independently manage multiple concurrent priorities, balancing recurring reporting deadlines with audits, renewals and improvement initiatives; anticipate dependencies, resolve roadblocks and elevate matters with practical recommendations.
- Build trusted relationships across functions and influence stakeholders through clear communication, sound judgment and an understanding of business needs, securing commitment to changes and shared deliverables.
- Proactively identify what could become a problem as RNF grows; challenge established approaches and lead practical improvements in processes, systems and automation that strengthen reporting quality, controls and efficiency.
