In this role, reporting to the Site Supervisor, you'll handle the maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of high-voltage systems within substations. Your knowledge will support your leadership responsibilities, coaching apprentices while ensuring that all work complies with industry safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute maintenance and repairs on high-voltage equipment
- Train Electrical Apprentices in safety and technical skills
- Oversee installation of electrical wiring and fixtures
- Conduct inspections for compliance with Technical Safety BC
- Manage safety protocols for energized equipment
Requirements:
- Valid and recognized Journeyperson Electrician Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years electrical experience
- 2 years in substations or high-voltage preferred
- Strong understanding of Canadian Electrical Code
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors
