Lead housekeeping operations at The Wickaninnish Inn on Vancouver Island, using guest service expertise and team leadership to uphold exceptional standards.
As Executive Housekeeper, you will oversee the day-to-day Housekeeping Department and serve on the Inn's Senior Management Team. You will maintain Relais & Châteaux, Forbes, AAA, and Wickaninnish Inn service philosophies. The position combines hands-on management, process improvement, budgeting, scheduling, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations, inspections, and service standards
- Lead, train, supervise, and schedule housekeeping team members
- Manage budgets, payroll, supplies, inventory, and financial records
- Address guest concerns and follow up on assistance requests
- Improve systems, safety practices, and sustainable cleaning procedures
Requirements:
- At least two years' management or supervisory service experience
- Or four years' experience in a housekeeping department
- Strong guest service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, cost management, and financial statements
- Working knowledge of Maestro PMS, Microsoft Office, and WHMIS
