The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo seeks a Turf Management Technician for Public Works, Parks. This permanent full-time position develops turf maintenance plans, supports budgets, and coordinates municipal turf activities. You will provide technical guidance, conduct research, and prepare reports for operational and capital planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare maintenance plans for municipal turf, sports fields, and greenspaces
- Provide technical input to operational and capital budget preparations
- Coordinate turf tasks and guide parks staff activities
- Operate mowers, tractors, loaders, and related equipment
- Perform snow clearing and winter operations duties
Requirements:
- Turfgrass Management Diploma and three years' related experience
- Or related Green Science Diploma and Turfgrass Management Certificate
- Knowledge of turf practices, plant health care, and equipment
- Valid Class Five Operator's Licence and Q-Endorsement
- Ability to work outdoors, weekends, and all conditions
