We have an exciting career opportunity for the position of General Manager, Utilities. We are looking for a senior leader seasoned in the area of water and sewer utility operations. The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or another relevant field. Ten years of senior level experience within the public sector or consulting services is required.
You are a leader with excellent interpersonal and public relations skills. You will bring a diverse skill set with a focus on strategic thinking and relationship building with a commitment to best practices in public administration and service delivery to our citizens.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the General Manager, Utilities will provide leadership to a number of Regional District departments including one of the largest water utilities in BC – Greater Vernon Water. You are able to take initiative on a variety of operational, strategic and political activities as the need arises.
