We are seeking an experienced SAP Fioneer Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience in banking products, FPSL configuration, accounting processes, integrations, testing, and reconciliation. The consultant will translate approved finance designs into FPSL configurations and support implementation through testing, reconciliation, and go-live activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure FPSL objects for banking products including loans, advances, deposits, money market instruments, and securities
- Configure contract types, contract attributes, event types, event processing, posting schemas, and accounting determinations
- Support valuation areas, subledger accounting layers, accounting principles, and ledgers
- Translate approved finance designs into FPSL configurations
- Implement FPSL accounting logic aligned with IFRS 9 classifications including Amortized Cost (AC), Fair Value Through Other Comprehensive Income (FVOCI), and Fair Value Through Profit or Loss (FVTPL)
- Support Effective Interest Rate (EIR) based accruals, amortization, fees, and charges
- Support initial recognition, accrual, amortization, and derecognition events
- Validate accounting outcomes and posting results at contract and General Ledger (GL) levels
- Support inbound integrations from core banking, treasury, and trading systems
- Validate event payloads, attribute mappings, and data enrichments
- Support outbound integration to SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal
- Validate document splitting, GL account derivations, and posting completeness
- Execute and support Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Perform reconciliations between source systems, FPSL, and General Ledger
- Troubleshoot functional defects and posting discrepancies
- Support deployment, go-live, and post-production stabilization activities
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Fioneer FPSL
- Experience implementing FPSL for banking products
- Strong understanding of subledger accounting and financial products
- Knowledge of IFRS 9 and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Universal Journal
- Experience with source-system integrations and event-based accounting
- Strong testing, reconciliation, and defect-resolution skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
