Senior Software Developer – Toronto

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team in designing, building, testing, and deploying secure, high-performing cloud and web applications.

In this role, you will translate technical specifications into clean, scalable code while working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in an Agile delivery environment.

Utilizing Microsoft .

NET, C#, Java Script, custom Web APIs, and Microsoft Azure cloud services, you will engineer backend application services, manage automated CI/CD pipelines, optimize database structures, and provide technical troubleshooting to ensure reliable end-to-end system operations.

Duration: 11-month contract.

• Dedicated Onsite Collaboration: Work directly alongside senior software engineers, architects, and technical leads in a focused 5-day per week workspace.

Responsibilities

• Full-Stack & API Development: Design, build, test, and maintain secure web applications and custom RESTful Web APIs using C#, ASP.

NET, .

NET Core, Java Script, and Entity Framework.

• Cloud Architecture & Microservices: Implement, configure, and manage cloud services across Saa S, Paa S, and Iaa S models using Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
• Dev Ops & CI/CD Management: Create, configure, and maintain automated build, testing, and deployment CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops and interactive Kanban task boards.
• Database Design & Optimization: Model, query, and tune relational database management systems, including Azure SQL Database, using Entity Framework and complex SQL logic.
• Security & Authentication: Implement secure communications, open standards, and identity protocols, including REST, Open API, and OAuth2 security frameworks.
• Agile Delivery & System

Support: Participate in Agile ceremonies, break down technical requirements into actionable deliverables, perform unit/integration testing, and resolve software defects.

• Technical Documentation & Collaboration: Author detailed programming specifications, technical designs, and release documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary delivery teams and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Core Development Stack: Proven experience developing web applications and APIs using . NET, C#, ASP. NET, . NET Core, Java Script, and Entity Framework (Strictly Required).
• Azure Cloud Expertise: Working knowledge of Azure cloud platforms with proficiency across Saa S, Paa S, and Iaa S cloud service models (Strictly Required).
• Web API & Security Protocols: Hands-on experience developing custom Web APIs and web services using REST, Open API, and OAuth2 authentication (Strictly Required).
• Dev Ops & CI/CD Pipelines: Demonstrated experience managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and task boards in Azure Dev Ops (Strictly Required).
• Agile Methodologies: Solid experience working within Agile development frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) (Strictly Required).
• Nice-to-Have Assets
• Prior software development experience supporting large-scale enterprise public sector applications.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 Level AA / AODA compliance).
• Experience with middleware integration, rapid application development (RAD), and post-implementation support.
