As a Training and Competency Assurance Advisor, you will support workforce capability, compliance, and operational excellence across Oil Sands operations. The six month contract starts November 30, 2026, initially at Foster Creek, Alberta, with location potentially changing. You will coordinate technical, safety, and operational training while administering qualification processes for employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate technical, safety, and operational training programs
- Administer employee and contractor competency qualification processes
- Assess training needs and identify competency gaps
- Maintain records in learning management systems
- Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Eight or more years in training or operational experience
- Experience in Oil Sands or heavy industrial environments
- Adult learning and competency program facilitation experience
- Understanding of safety, qualifications, and compliance requirements
- Learning management systems and competency tracking experience
