Lead greenhouse production at Rainbow Greenhouses in Chilliwack, BC, using hands-on coordination, plant work, and safe work practices. This position is on-site.
As a Hand Sprayer and Advance Lead Hand, you will help organize weekly schedules and guide greenhouse staff. The work combines production leadership with planting, transplanting, spacing, order picking, and plant movement. You will support daily quality and production goals while keeping work areas clean, organized, and ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan weekly schedules with the Supervisor
- Guide staff on duties and safe work practices
- Assign daily tasks and clarify work expectations
- Support production goals while maintaining quality standards
- Complete planting, spacing, loading, and greenhouse upkeep
Requirements:
- Previous production or greenhouse experience preferred
- Lead hand or supervisory experience is an asset
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills and plant knowledge are assets
