Drive retail sales across Alberta from Calgary, using business development and customer relationship skills with retail lumberyards and building centres. Travel throughout the assigned territory regularly.
This permanent full-time Sales Representative position supports Calgary Sales Exp. Retail and reports to the Sales Manager, Retail Panel Distribution. You will promote decorative panels, hardwood and softwood plywood, lumber, and value-added wood programs. The work combines outside and inside sales, with approximately 60% travel and 40% follow-up from the Calgary office. Success requires territory management, new business development, and strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote sales to retail lumberyards, flooring stores, and design centres
- Develop new business while retaining existing customer relationships
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities throughout Alberta
- Manage territory productivity and support maximum sales growth
- Develop territory action plans to meet sales targets
Requirements:
- Knowledge of retail building materials and product lines
- Experience developing business and canvassing new opportunities
- Five to seven years of similar experience is an asset
- Strong personal, organizational, and independent working skills
- Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
