Quiddity Technology Solutions Inc. is a solution-driven engineering consulting organization in the areas of Functional Safety for the Automotive, Aerospace, Medical Device, and other Complex System development industries. Safety standards such as ISO 26262 (Automotive), ARP 4761 (Aerospace), ISO 14971 (Medical Devices), IEC 61508/ IEC 61511 (Industrial Control) are integral to the safety-critical products development cycle.
Our organization helps both established and start-up clients to achieve their visions to impart safety inherently within their products. We assist our clients in self-certification, interacting with independent certification authorities such as TUV SUD/UL or as an independent auditor of their processes mandated by the standards.
We are looking for a qualified individual with an engineering background who is keen to learn and grow and has a strong work ethic to join our team.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and review of system safety artifacts in accordance with ARP4761A and ARP4754B, including: AFHA, SFHA, PASA, PSSA, SSA, and ASA.
- Conduct Common Cause Analyses (CCA): Zonal Safety Analysis (ZSA), Particular Risk Analysis (PRA), and Common Mode Analysis (CMA).
- Perform and oversee Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) in support of quantitative safety objectives.
- Interface directly with clients, their certification delegates, and civil aviation authorities on safety substantiation matters.
- Collaborate with DO-178C and DO-254 teams to ensure software and hardware development assurance is consistent with system-level safety requirements.
- Support QTSI's internal methodology development, template library, and delivery playbooks.
- Mentor junior safety analysts and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing.
What You Bring
- Required: Minimum 3+ years of relevant system and functional safety experience.
- Direct experience developing safety artifacts under ARP4761A, not just reviewing them.
- Proficiency in at least 3 of the following: FHA, PSSA, SSA, CCA (ZSA, PRA, CMA), FTA, FMEA/FMECA.
- Working knowledge of ARP4754B and its relationship to DAL assignment and certification planning.
- Strong technical writing skills; your reports speak for themselves.
- Soft skills: Attention to detail, self-starter, and quick learner.
Assets:
- Experience with aircraft systems and systems engineering principles.
- Exposure to DO-178C (software) or DO-254 (hardware) development assurance processes.
- Familiarity with requirements management tools: IBM DOORS, Polarion, or equivalent.
- Experience with safety analysis tools: Ansys Medini, CAFTA, or similar.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety application.
- P.Eng. designation or equivalent professional engineering license.
- Functional Safety Engineer (FSE) certification (TÜV or equivalent).

- Genuine ownership: your analysis drives certification outcomes.
- A small team means your voice shapes how we work, not just what we deliver.
