Lead substation civil design for Qualus from Vancouver or Calgary, applying Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and drainage expertise to utility infrastructure. As a Senior Engineer within Qualus T&D Canada, you will support substation facilities from conceptual development through detailed design. Your work covers grading, drainage, stormwater management, earthworks, access roads, and oil containment systems. You will also provide technical support, quality reviews, project coordination, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design civil infrastructure for utility substation facilities
- Perform analyses using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, GIS, and modeling tools
- Prepare design reports, specifications, plans, and field review documents
- Review vendor and contractor documents against project standards
- Coordinate project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering degree from a recognized university
- Canadian P.Eng. designation or eligibility for EGBC registration
- At least 12 years of civil engineering design experience
- Substation civil design experience across grading and drainage systems
- Knowledge of Canadian codes, regulations, and utility standards
