Bell AI Fabric is building Canada's next-generation sovereign AI infrastructure platform through a portfolio of hyperscale and mission-critical data centres across the country. As one of the largest digital infrastructure investments in Canada, Bell AI Fabric is creating the foundation that will power AI innovation, economic growth, and technological sovereignty for decades to come.
To support this ambitious growth, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Community Affairs, to serve as Bell AI Fabric's strategic representative in the communities where we develop, construct, and operate our data centre campuses. This is not solely a communications, public affairs, or government relations role. It is a high-impact position focused on building trust, long-term partnerships, and social license to operate.
You will help ensure Bell AI Fabric is recognized as a responsible investor, employer, neighbour, and community partner throughout the lifecycle of our infrastructure developments. Working closely with executives, engineering, real estate, construction, sustainability, regulatory, Indigenous Relations, and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in advancing projects that create lasting value for Canadian communities while supporting Bell AI Fabric's long-term growth and operational success. Some travel within the province or elsewhere in Canada will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Playbook Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive, multi-phase community engagement plans tailored to Bell AI Fabric deployments and local business priorities including stakeholder mapping, and audience engagement strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building: Identify, map, and engage influential local stakeholders, building lasting networks with municipal council decision-makers, business owners, environmental groups, Indigenous communities, and non-profit organizations.
- Community Outreach & Event Management: Organize, promote, and host community open houses, town halls, and local events to address constituent questions regarding AI investments, job creation, and community benefits. Represent Bell AI Fabric at public meetings, industry events, community forums, media engagements, and stakeholder consultations.
- Message & Content Development: Translate complex technical concepts (AI infrastructure, data center energy usage) into compelling, resonant local messaging. Develop diverse communications materials including presentation decks, fact sheets, FAQ documents, door-knockers, local flyers, social media posts and work with video production teams.
- Issues Management: Proactively identify emergent local issues and swiftly develop local response plans by collaborating with Bell government relations and Communications teams.
Critical Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in community relations, Indigenous relations, government relations, public affairs, or a related field.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is preferred and is required for roles based in or supporting the Quebec region.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, local community leaders, non-governmental organizations, and senior executives.
- Proven program management skills, with the ability to lead complex initiatives and manage multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to represent Bell AI Fabric effectively in community and stakeholder engagements.
- Solid understanding of local economic, political, and regulatory landscapes and their potential impact on Bell AI Fabric's operations and growth objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing social media strategies and managing multi-channel corporate campaigns.
