We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Sonographer to join a forward-thinking NHS Imaging Department in Peterborough. The successful candidate will provide a high-quality ultrasound service, working independently and as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of ultrasound scans including Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and General abdominal work
- Provide accurate diagnostic reports to support patient care and treatment pathways
- Contribute to maintaining high clinical standards and patient safety
- Liaise effectively with consultants, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Support and guide junior staff and students when required (Desirable)
- Undertake MSK scans to support service demand
Requirements:
- HCPC registration (or equivalent professional body registration)
- CASE-accredited Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent)
- Proven NHS experience in Obs, Gynae, and General ultrasound
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
