PRT is recruiting a full-time Grower 2 for PRT Fairview. This position supports quality forest seedling production through nursery practices and principles. You will operate Argus systems, inspect crops, maintain records, and support seasonal employees under Grower 1 supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement water, fertilization, and greenhouse cultural programs
- Operate Argus irrigation, climate, and alarm programs
- Monitor seedlings through measurements and nutrient analyses
- Inspect crops for insects and diseases, applying controls
- Maintain records, equipment, inventories, and growing materials
Requirements:
- Experience in nursery or propagation environments
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and crop monitoring
- Knowledge of greenhouse equipment and climate control systems
- Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge and accurate record keeping
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work independently
