Join our Team! Provincial Homecare is seeking an RN or LPN to join our team in St. John's! We are looking for someone to work casually, as needed, for Delegations. This position would require some travel.
Job Summary
Under the direction of Senior Management, the Agency Nurse is responsible for performing nursing functions and delegations for required clients and home support workers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Delegation Nursing duties are primarily teaching and delegating nursing functions to home support staff as it relates to a variety of nursing functions, such as:
- Medication administration
- Insulin administration
- Catheter care
- Ostomy care
- Hoyer lift use
- Other nursing related functions
Qualifications
- Clear Code of Conduct
- Must be registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland & Labrador or College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland & Labrador
- Relevant healthcare experience working in long term care, community health, or hospital settings
- Experience with computers would be considered an asset
- Previous home support industry experience would be considered an asset
Other Skills and Abilities
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
