On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Senior Project Manager for a contract role. This position is remote with a preference for Alberta-based candidates, but open to anywhere in Canada.
The project involves technology enablement with a focus on Salesforce and software development. The role includes managing IT projects, emphasizing business process and organizational change, and ensuring alignment with broader portfolio goals.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Technology Enablement, Business, and third-party stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to set program standards and ensure alignment with portfolio goals.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budget oversight.
- Proactively identify and address risks/issues, delivering data-driven reports.
- Lead cross-functional teams and external vendors, fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
- Produce and maintain project artifacts to the highest standards.
Mandatory Skills:
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent professional certifications.
- 6+ years of experience leading IT projects with a focus on business process and organizational change.
- 3+ years managing cross-functional teams for large-scale initiatives.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform rapid discovery and provide unbiased feedback.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
