This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.Financial Analyst, Insurance - Investments Reporting (MS Excel) - Job Description:This project focuses on the IFRS 17 Finance and Actuarial Transformation, aiming to support the reduction of manual or complex tasks in the current month-end close cycle. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in automating processes and supporting investment finance reporting.Financial Analyst, Insurance - Investments Reporting (MS Excel) - Responsibilities:• Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly journal entries, financial statements, and reporting package requirements.• Document, automate, and streamline manual journal entries and month-end close processes.• Support investment finance reporting, including investment result analysis.• Conduct ad hoc reporting and investigation of financial results, and perform variance analysis.• Assist with external auditor requests and documentation for interim and year-end audits.• Contribute to process improvements through documentation updates.• Act as backup for other roles within the department.Financial Analyst, Insurance - Investments Reporting (MS Excel) - Mandatory Skills:• Completion of a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA: CA, CGA, CMA).• 3 years or more of financial services industry experience in progressive finance roles.• Exceptional Excel skills.• Experience with financial reporting for investments.• Experience with Power Query.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to multitask and balance conflicting priorities.Financial Analyst, Insurance - Investments Reporting (MS Excel) – Nice-to-Have Skills:• IFRS 17 or Insurance Financial Reporting experience.• Power BI or experience building dashboards for analytics.• Experience building reports in Tableau.• Experience working with large data sets and automating manual processes.• Agile and adaptable to ad hoc requests and re-prioritization of tasks.Financial Analyst, Insurance - Investments Reporting (MS Excel) – Assignment Length:This is a 12-month contract position.Financial Analyst, Insurance - Investments Reporting (MS Excel) - Start Date:ASAP.Financial Analyst, Insurance - Investments Reporting (MS Excel) - Assignment Location:Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
