AI Engineer:On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for an AI Engineer for a full-time role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.AI Engineer - Job Description:The AI Engineer will work on designing and developing AI-enabled workflows to enhance mortgage processes. This role involves new development focused on agentic workflows and document intelligence to improve productivity and decision quality.AI Engineer - Responsibilities:• Design and build AI-enabled workflows for residential mortgage use cases• Translate business rules and underwriting policies into modular prompts and retrieval pipelines• Develop production-quality code using Python, SQL, FastAPI, and integrate AI services• Create test cases and evaluation datasets to meet quality standards• Implement safeguards for privacy, security, and cost control• Support UAT, production releases, and ongoing monitoring• Refactor components into maintainable servicesAI Engineer - Mandatory Skills:• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, mathematics, or a related discipline• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or applied AI• Experience building production AI solutions, including RAG and agentic workflows• Strong experience with Python, SQL, APIs, and cloud services• Ability to combine probabilistic AI techniques with deterministic rules• Working knowledge of retrieval quality, prompt testing, and error analysis• Experience collaborating with various teams through design and production releaseAI Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, MLflow, Vector Search, or Azure OpenAI Service• Experience in financial services or mortgage lending• Knowledge of regulated technology environments• Experience with red teaming and cost optimization• Familiarity with third-party partnershipsAI Engineer – Assignment Length:This is a permanent position.AI Engineer - Start Date:ASAP.AI Engineer - Assignment Location:Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
