Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for the efficient operation of designated production equipment as assigned.
- Removing bottles from racks and putting them on the conveyor to meet production and quality objectives.
- Visually inspecting and removing foreign objects from bottles.
- Performing odor tests and discarding contaminated bottles.
- Relabel and tag bottles with handle tags.
- Sort and lift bottles from delivery trucks using a forklift.
- Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, shut down and preventative maintenance of assigned production equipment.
- Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently following the Company Safety Policy, including the lock out/tag out process.
- Provide general plant, production line and facility clean up (5S).
Qualifications:
- Experience in production and/or warehousing, including forklift operation.
- Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency.
- Work efficiently self-directed or in a team environment.
- Physically able to safely lift bottles and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Forklift experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends (depending on location).
- Ability to inspect materials visually and by sense of smell.
- PPE Required (safety shoes, hair nets, goggles, ear plugs).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions (depending on location) that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
- The noise level may be loud at times.
- Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service.
