As an Administrative Support IV, you will support Referral Management, FAST, through complex administrative procedures and specialized knowledge. You will collaborate with Registered Nurses, administrative staff, referring providers, specialists, Medical Office Assistants, and patients. Your work supports referrals from central access receipt through specialist consultation distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive referrals through the provincial central intake program
- Collect and enter referral data accurately
- Distribute referrals promptly to appropriate specialists
- Communicate with providers and patients by telephone
- Support workflow, quality, and process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education and office administration certificate or diploma
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Recent medical, surgical, or referral management experience
- Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and confidentiality awareness
