About PRC Group Limited

PRC Group Limited is a growing general contracting company specializing in building restoration and rehabilitation throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario.

Our core services include balcony restoration, parking garage rehabilitation, concrete repairs, masonry restoration, building envelope repairs, waterproofing, sealant replacement and other capital improvement projects for multi-residential and commercial properties.

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship, maintaining strong relationships with our clients and consultants, and executing projects safely and efficiently.

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized and proactive General Superintendent to oversee daily field operations across multiple active construction sites.

Position Overview

The General Superintendent will play a key role in coordinating and supervising construction activities across multiple projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule and in accordance with project specifications.

This is a hands‑on, field-based position, with approximately 80% of working time spent visiting and overseeing active construction sites.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Project Managers and senior management, acting as the primary point of coordination between subcontractors, in‑house labourers, suppliers and project management.

We are looking for an individual who takes ownership of site operations, anticipates challenges before they become delays, and demonstrates strong leadership, technical knowledge and problem‑solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Multi‑Site Construction Management
  • * Oversee daily construction activities across multiple active building restoration projects throughout the GTA.
  • * Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, workmanship, productivity and compliance with project requirements.
  • * Ensure construction activities properly sequenced and coordinated to minimize downtime, delays and unnecessary costs.
  • * Identify potential scheduling conflicts, site constraints and operational challenges, implementing practical solutions.
  • * Maintain a high standard of site organization, cleanliness and professionalism.
  • Subcontractor & Labour Management
  • * Coordinate and supervise subcontractors across multiple projects, ensuring adequate manpower, productivity and adherence to project schedules.
  • * Direct and allocate in‑house labour resources based on project priorities and operational requirements.
  • * Monitor subcontractor performance and address workmanship, attendance or productivity concerns.
  • * Ensure subcontractors have the necessary site access, materials, equipment and information to perform their work efficiently.
  • * Promote accountability, effective communication and cooperation among all site personnel.
  • Material Procurement & Site Logistics
  • * Coordinate material procurement, ordering and deliveries to ensure uninterrupted construction progress.
  • * Anticipate upcoming material and equipment requirements based on project schedules.
  • * Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and Project Managers to coordinate deliveries and site logistics.
  • * Organize equipment rentals, deliveries, relocations and returns.
  • * Monitor material usage and minimize waste, unnecessary purchases and avoidable costs.
  • Quality Control & Technical Oversight
  • * Monitor construction workmanship to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements and accepted industry practices.
  • * Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective measures before consultant inspections or project closeout.
  • * Assist Project Managers with technical site reviews and constructability concerns.
  • * Coordinate site readiness for engineering consultant inspections and approvals.
  • * Maintain a strong focus on completing work correctly the first time to minimize rework and unnecessary expenditures.
  • Project Coordination & Communication
  • * Maintain consistent communication with Project Managers regarding site progress, labour requirements, scheduling concerns and potential delays.
  • * Provide timely updates on completed work, outstanding activities and upcoming project requirements.
  • * Coordinate short‑term construction schedules and assist with look‑ahead planning.
  • * Document unforeseen site conditions, additional work requirements and potential scope changes for review by Project Managers.
  • * Participate in project coordination meetings and consultant site reviews when required.
  • Health & Safety
  • * Promote and enforce safe working practices across all assigned projects.
  • * Monitor compliance with applicable Ontario occupational health and safety legislation, site‑specific safety plans and company procedures.
  • * Identify unsafe conditions and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken.
  • * Coordinate with Project Managers and designated site safety personnel to maintain safe and organized workplaces.
  • * Ensure required safety documentation, inspections and procedures are maintained.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • * Minimum 7 years of relevant construction experience, preferably in building restoration, rehabilitation or general contracting.
  • * Previous experience in a Superintendent, Site Supervisor or similar field leadership role.
  • * Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple active construction projects simultaneously.
  • * Strong understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination and site logistics.
  • * Experience managing subcontractors and direct‑hire labour crews.
  • * Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • * Strong organizational, communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills.
  • * Working knowledge of Ontario construction health and safety requirements.
  • * Valid Ontario G driver’s licence with a satisfactory driving record.
  • * Ability to travel regularly between project sites throughout the GTA.

Preferred

  • * Experience with balcony restoration, concrete rehabilitation, parking garage repairs, waterproofing, masonry and building envelope restoration.
  • * Experience working on occupied condominium, apartment and commercial properties.
  • * Familiarity with engineering consultant inspections and restoration project specifications.
  • * Working at Heights and other relevant construction safety certifications.
  • * Experience coordinating multiple subcontractor crews across geographically separate projects.

PRC Group Limited offers a competitive compensation package based on qualifications and experience, including:

  • * Annual salary starting at $90,000.00, based on experience and demonstrated capabilities.
  • * Company-provided pickup truck for travel between construction sites and other authorized business use.
  • * Company-paid fuel / gas allowance for approved business‑related travel.
  • * Opportunities for professional development and advancement within a growing organization.
  • * A collaborative working environment with direct access to senior management.
  • * The opportunity to take ownership of field operations and contribute directly to the company’s continued growth.
  • Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑project environment.

You are someone who takes initiative, understands the importance of proper planning and coordination, and can confidently manage subcontractors and labour crews without constant supervision.

You recognize that successful construction management requires more than simply monitoring progress.

It requires anticipating problems, coordinating resources, maintaining quality standards and ensuring every project moves forward efficiently.

We are looking for a dependable, detail‑oriented individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining PRC Group’s reputation for quality, professionalism and reliability.
