Travel to Office expectations:

About The Team:

We are hiring for a full-time role on our three-person Accounting team. This hybrid position requires the ability to work from our Mississauga office. Our dedicated, supportive team works in a dynamic and evolving finance environment that offers many opportunities to learn and grow.

About The Role:

The General Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager and will be a key member of the accounting team supporting multiple subsidiary accounting. The role includes preparation and management of the month-end close, reconciliation and investigation of account balances, budget to actual variance analysis, supporting the external audit, and liaising with various parties within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile and manage balance sheet accounts by completing general ledger reconciliations.
• Complete monthly, quarterly and annual GL close activities with diligence and accuracy.
• Review income statement and balance sheet trending against historical data and budgets.
• Maintain control over GL inputs by ensuring that any system reports are complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable and FP&A teams to resolve matters pertaining to GL coding discrepancies.
• Maintain and enhance current processes to improve day-to-day and month-end processes.

Your Key Strengths:

• 2-3 years of accounting experience.
• Ability to multitask and meet scheduled deadlines.
• Solid accounting knowledge with the ability to apply general concepts to unique situations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

Bonus Skills:

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Enrollment or working towards CPA designation.
• Experience with NetSuite is an asset.
• Experience with Copilot and Claude Cowork is an asset.

At PointClickCare, base salary is one of the many components that make up our total rewards package. The Canada base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $80,000 + bonus + benefits, non-overtime eligible.
