About the Role
Our client, a pioneering technology innovation company, is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Legal Counsel with specialized expertise in Intellectual Property (IP) law. This is a fully remote position, empowering you to contribute significantly from your chosen location within South Africa. You will be responsible for developing and executing the company's IP strategy, protecting its valuable innovations, and advising on all IP-related matters. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive intellectual property strategies, including patent filing, prosecution, and portfolio management.
- Conduct IP due diligence for potential investments, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements, such as licensing agreements, R&D collaborations, and technology transfer agreements.

Requirements
- Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience, with a significant focus on IP law.

- In-depth knowledge of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret laws in South Africa and relevant international jurisdictions.
- Experience negotiating complex IP licensing and technology transfer agreements.
