About the Role
Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager with a specialization in cybersecurity to join their team. This hybrid role offers a strategic blend of remote work and in-office presence in Kimberley, Northern Cape , allowing for flexibility while ensuring essential on-site collaboration. You will be responsible for leading critical cybersecurity projects, including threat detection system implementations, security policy development, incident response planning, and vulnerability management. Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks and project-specific issues. Coordinate with IT, security teams, and business units to ensure successful implementation of security solutions. Develop and manage project documentation, including risk assessments, project plans, and status reports. Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors. Ensure projects adhere to relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices. Oversee the implementation of security technologies and processes. Requirements
A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on cybersecurity initiatives. Proven experience managing projects related to network security, data protection, cloud security, or incident response. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and emerging threats. Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. CISSP, PMP, or CISM certifications are highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office duties.
