Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and specification of subsea production systems, including wellheads, trees, manifolds, pipelines, and umbilicals.
Perform engineering analysis related to subsea structures, hydrodynamics, and structural integrity.
Develop and review technical specifications, fabrication drawings, and installation procedures for subsea equipment.
Manage subsea system interfaces and ensure compatibility with topsides and wells.
Conduct flow assurance studies and risk assessments for subsea flowlines and processing.
Oversee the procurement, fabrication, testing, and installation phases of subsea projects.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including subsea operations, marine construction, and project management, using virtual collaboration tools.
Ensure all designs and operations comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Provide technical support during offshore installation and commissioning phases.
Mentor junior subsea engineers and contribute to the development of best practices.
Manage external engineering contractors and vendors effectively in a remote setting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in subsea engineering within the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong track record in deepwater projects.
In-depth knowledge of subsea hardware, installation methods, and field development planning.
Proficiency in subsea design and analysis software (e.g., Orcaflex, ANSYS).
Strong understanding of flow assurance principles, process simulation, and multiphase flow.
Experience with project management, including cost estimation, scheduling, and risk management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a remote work environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and organizational skills.
Experience collaborating effectively in virtual, international teams.
Familiarity with relevant international codes and standards (API, ISO).
Located in or able to work within relevant time zones for coordination.
