Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including software developers, business analysts, QA testers, and compliance officers, in a remote setting. Ensure all projects adhere to financial industry regulations (e.g., POPIA, FAIS, FICA) and data security standards. Manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies. Facilitate clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including senior management, vendors, and clients. Oversee the implementation of new financial products, platforms, and systems. Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies and best practices in project management within the team. Conduct post-project reviews, document lessons learned, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on financial services technology (FinTech). Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects in the financial sector. In-depth understanding of financial services products, operations, and regulatory landscape. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, especially in remote team environments. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project) and Agile methodologies. Experience managing projects involving banking systems, trading platforms, payment gateways, or insurance software. Ability to work independently and manage distributed teams effectively.
