About the Role
Our client, a global leader in e-commerce and logistics, is actively seeking a highly experienced and motivated Internal Audit Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from any location. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the internal audit plan, assessing risks, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements across the organization. You will play a critical role in safeguarding company assets and improving operational efficiency through effective audit procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan based on a thorough risk assessment.
- Lead and supervise internal audit engagements from planning through to reporting.
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls across financial, operational, and IT processes.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Identify and document control deficiencies and provide practical recommendations for remediation.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to management and stakeholders.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely closure.
- Stay abreast of emerging risks, best practices in internal auditing, and relevant industry trends.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal audit function's methodologies and tools.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
- A professional qualification such as CA(SA), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) is essential.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in internal or external audit, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) and risk management principles.
- Strong understanding of auditing standards, financial reporting, and relevant compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in audit management software and data analytics tools.
- Exceptional report writing and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex audits in a remote setting.
- Experience in e-commerce or logistics industries is a significant advantage.
